The Eggs of the Rainbow Serpent
The Devil’s Marbles is the other name for the rocks known as the Eggs of the Rainbow Serpent. I took the photo early in the morning when the sun was low. I wanted it to feel like the sacred site it is and included aboriginal fabrics as a reference to our first people.
I used kaleidoscope blocks to enlarge the image, and to create more rocks in the foreground. I love these blocks and the whirling patterns they make – even though every line is straight.
See Playing with kaleidoscopes for more information.
